About

Background and Training

I earned my B.A. in Psychology and Child Development from Tufts University. I then went on to earn my M.S. and C.A.G.S. in School Psychology, and Ph.D. in Counseling and Applied Educational Psychology from Northeastern University. I completed my predoctoral internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance where I treated patients in the child, adolescent and adult outpatient clinics. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at Brown University/Bradley Hospital, where I provided treatment to children and adolescents in a therapeutic educational setting. I have extensive experience working with children and adults in individual therapy, couples therapy, parent coaching, and executive functioning coaching. I most recently worked as an outpatient psychologist and Director of School Consultation. I have also been a consultant to schools and businesses around children's behavioral and mental health needs.

My clinical practice is grounded in the frameworks of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). I am trained in exposure and response prevention (ERP), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Supporting Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Gottman Couples Therapy as well as other evidence-based practices. I am also certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) and have received advanced training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

About Me

Thank you for your interest in my practice. Finding the right therapist can be difficult, and it can help to know about the person you are going to see. Let me share a bit about myself beyond my education and training, and what sessions with me are like.

Clients have described me as warm, genuine and empathic. I enjoy listening to people and helping them navigate life's stressors with compassion and curiosity. Sessions with me are personalized, collaborative and engaging. I focus on asking thoughtful questions, providing validation and insight, and guiding you along your journey to personal growth. I see my role in the therapy process as helping you gain skills, understanding, connection and clarity. You have many strengths and innate abilities, and we pull from these to help you reach your goals and achieve personal growth.

Outside of my work, I spend time with my husband and our three children. My favorite activities are pizza and movie nights with the family, taking long walks, and gardening. In my free time, I am either in my garden, practicing barre/yoga, or watching HGTV and baking shows.

I look forward to connecting with you!
